Founded in 1982, Huntsman IFS offer bespoke polyurethane chemical products to a range of industries, providing development, manufacturing, and technical services from their factory in Roydon, Norfolk.

Interview with the Customer
We spoke to Nina Davies, Huntsman IFS’s Finance Manager about how they found the onboarding process and why they chose ECS Computers.
  • What prompted you to look for a new IT support company?

    ‘We had outgrown our previous IT support company but are not large enough to warrant in-house IT support. ECS have been brilliant as they looked at exactly what we needed and enabled us to make the decision about the level of support we want. ECS was competitive on price whilst at the same time maintaining top-level service.’

  • How would you describe the support ECS provides?

    ‘ECS have met all of our IT needs and resolve all issues quickly, professionally and politely.’

  • How did you and your colleagues find the transition from your old IT provider to ECS?

    ‘The move from one IT company over to ECS was very smooth and everybody noticed that IT issues were remedied quicker than previously.’

  • Finally, how are things running now?

    ‘Things are going really well now – everybody knows how to raise a case and I now get involved a lot less in site IT issues.’

Ongoing IT Support, Monitoring and Maintenance
ECS provide on-going IT support & monitoring to IFS including weekly automated patching of Windows, Microsoft Office, and a range of other software; proactive 24/7 monitoring and maintenance of their PCs and servers; hosted cloud back-up solutions; and robust anti-spam and mailbox back-ups.

ECS have also implemented our Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) anti-virus service, meaning that Huntsman IFS will be protected from even the newest malicious software.
